PANELS
Panels are likely the most important and rewarding aspect about the MACRoCk. Each year open discussions and talks take place during the afternoon of the 2nd day of the conference. Most topics deal with important issues to college radio and the independent music community. On occasion, topics branch out to various loosely related subjects like war, politics, d.i.y. ethics, and grassroots organizing.

Gotta Get Dat News
LOCATION: Ruby’s (Clementine’s Basement -153 South Main)
DATE: Saturday April 7
TIME: 12:00-1:00pm
DESCRIPTION: Did you hear that dude named Coldplay is having another baby with Katy Perry?!? Of course you didn’t because you don’t keep up with music news. That’s why you need to go to this panel. You’ll get a chance to talk about zines, blogs, websites, etc. with the most crucial dudes in the business. Check out how it all gets made and learn something before you rock your brains out. For your health.

Kinda Like Woodstock

DESCRIPTION: “I remember back in the day when I was at Woodstock and smoked PCP with Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix spewed stars out of his wiener guitar BLAH BLAH BLAH!” That’s lame. Want to hear a REAL festival story? Come chat with some of the coolest dudes in the game, hear what they’ve got to say, and ask ’em questions. Don’t miss this opportunity!

DESCRIPTION: Downtown would not be as pleasant without Laughing Dog. Family-owned and operated since 1990, this print shop does amazing work.
